The Sangamon County Department of Public Health is seeking applicants to perform duties primarily as a part time Vaccine Nurse, working primarily during the flu vaccine season (September-November). There are 4 positions available.
Responsibilities: Vaccine Nurses are expected to provide injections to both adults and children, while maintaining compliance with established standards and procedures.
Requirements: Employees will be expected to work a minimum of 25 hours per month, or a total of 75 hours over a three month period in the fall. This position requires a current State of Illinois registered nursing license in good standing, a valid Class D Illinois Driver's License, use of personal automobile and proof of auto insurance, and the ability to work at least 1 late day on some occasions (7:00pm). On rare occasions, in the event of a public health emergency, this position may be required to work evening and/or weekend clinics as assigned. Applicants must be a resident of Sangamon County or be willing to move into the County within 6 months of employment.
Benefits: Salary: $30.7444 per hour plus mileage reimbursement
