The Sangamon County Department of Public Health is seeking applicants to perform duties primarily in the WIC and Family Case Management Programs. The WIC/FCM nurse promotes positive health outcomes for participants through nutritional assessment, breastfeeding promotion/support, and program referrals.
Responsibilities: Duties include home visits and case management of social issues.
Requirements: This position requires a current State of Illinois registered nursing license in good standing, a valid Class D Illinois Driver's License, use of personal automobile and proof of auto insurance. On rare occasions, in the event of a public health emergency, this position may be required to work evening and/or weekend clinics as assigned. Must be a Sangamon County resident or be willing to move within the County within six months of employment. This position is covered by AFSCME Local #3738 Union.
Benefits: Work Hours: Monday-Friday: 3 days from 8am-430pm, 1 day from 8am-7pm, and 1 day from 8am-1pm. Salary: $50,715.21yr/$26.0078/hr; 2 weeks paid vacation, 3 paid personal days, 12 paid sick leave days and 12 paid holidays per year.
