Notary Public Certificates of Authority

Upon receipt of a written request, the notarized document and a fee of $2.00 per document payable to the County Clerk, the County Clerk's Office shall provide a certificate of authority certifying a notary public's appointment and commission in Sangamon County.  You may come in person or submit the above mentioned documentation through the mail.

Notary Public Services

The County Clerk's Office provides Notary Public services to the public.  A person's signature can be notarized when valid identification and a fee of $1.00 per notarization are presented.  The person needing their signature notarized must appear in person, have valid ID and must sign their document in front of the Notary Public.
