Tax Distribution Information

PURPOSE
This page contains documents which may be helpful to Certified Public Accountants (CPAs), Government Financial Professional, the Media, and Taxpayers who need information about distributions sent out of the Sangamon County Treasurer's office and distributions sent out by the Township collectors within Sangamon County.

INTERACTIVE TAX DISTRIBUTION INFORMATION BY DATE RANGE
Auditors and Financial Professionals can receive e-mails of tax distributions made by the Sangamon County Treasurer's office for most taxing districts for any time frame beginning with the year 2000. Please note that these reports do not include amounts from TIF District returns.

DISTRIBUTIONS BY TYPE OF DISTRICT
This report list the types of districts (Schools, Municipalities, Townships, etc) receiving distributions from the County and Township Collectors within Sangamon County. Potential users of this information would be Government Officials, the media, and interested Taxpayers.

TOWNSHIP ROAD AND BRIDGE REPORTS
This report list the 50% portion of property tax that Township road and bridge districts received from taxpayers residing within a municipality. Township Road and Bridge Districts remit these amounts to the municipalities for the maintenance of roads. Potential users of this information would be CPAs, Township and Municipal officials needing to confirm amounts owed by the Township to the Municipalities. FINAL DISTRIBUTION REPORT
This report list a summary of distributions made to each taxing district provided by the County’s Property Tax System which includes Mobile Home Taxes, Property Taxes, and interest. Potential users of this information would be CPAs and Government Officials needing to confirm total amounts distributed to individual government entities.

PRIOR YEAR DISTRIBUTION REPORT
This report list each distribution report for prior year of distributions made to each taxing district provided by the County’s Property Tax System which includes Mobile Home Taxes, Property Taxes, and interest. Potential users of this information would be CPAs and Government Officials needing to confirm total amounts distributed to individual government entities.

CURRENT YEAR DISTRIBUTION REPORT
This report list each distribution report for current year of distributions made to each taxing district provided by the County’s Property Tax System which includes Mobile Home Taxes, Property Taxes, and interest. Potential users of this information would be CPAs and Government Officials needing to confirm total amounts distributed to individual government entities. 

DISTRIBUTION CALENDAR
This report list the dates distributions are to be made from the Sangamon County Treasurer's office Potential users of this information would be Government Officials needing to know when distributions are scheduled for tax flow purposes.

DISTRIBUTION INFORMATION FOR CASH FLOW PROJECTIONS
Taxing Districts receiving distribution may use this report to assist in projecting what % of the taxing district's tax extension can be expected to be distributed by month based on the average for all districts over the last three years:

CERTIFICATION OF PUBLICATION
This form is used by taxing agencies to certify compliance with Public Funds Statement Publication Act. (30ILCS15/) or Municipal Treasurer’s Duties (65 ILCS 5/3.1-35-65). Most taxing districts are required to annually publish financial information in order to continue to receive property tax distributions. Examples of the reports or notices and the statutory language are included to assist prepares of such documents.
