Jim Good has been on the County Board since October of 2007. Jim represents District 8 which covers Riverton, Spaulding and a section of northeast Springfield.

Jim currently serves on the following standing committees:

 Finance, Jail, OEM/911 and Road & Bridge Committee's. 

He has also been appointed to serve on the Sangamon County Central Dispatch Executive Board, Sangamo Scripts Prescription Drug Committee, U of I Extension Council and Community Service Block Grant Advisory Board.

Jim, and his wife Carol, raised three children and have lived in the Riverton area for the past 24 years. Jim owns and manages GM Services Print & Copy Center in Springfield.

Jim has served on the following boards in the Riverton Area:

• 8 Years on the Riverton School Board
• 4 Years on the Riverton Foundation of Education
• 4 Years on the Riverton Fire Protection District
• 12 Years on the Riverton Athletic Club

Jim grew up in Springfield, attended Springfield High and LLCC and spent 4 years in the U.S Marine Corp.
